** More on the Spund Pilz from our friend Colin at Live Oak:
"Spund confers the racking of beer just nearly finished, about 1 degree from Plato, from its final gravity from the fermenter into a smaller conditioning vessel, whereby it will continue to condition and mature on the yeast for 4-5 weeks. As the yeast consumers that final degree of sugar, it will inevitably build a depth of flavor and carbonation rarely experienced in other beers. Drink cool and fresh!"
